The EU has provided Ukraine with a second tranche of EUR 4.1 billion under the Ukraine Facility program. The total amount of assistance under the program will be EUR 50 billion by 2027.

Ukraine has received the second tranche of EUR 4.1 billion from the EU under the Ukraine Facility program, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said on Telegram on Wednesday, UNN reports.

"Ukraine has received EUR 4.1 billion from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility program. This is the second regular payment allocated by the European Commission under this instrument. The next tranche was the result of our state's implementation of all the measures set out in the Ukraine Plan," the Prime Minister wrote.

Shmyhal said that this year's total assistance under the Ukraine Facility initiative amounts to 16.1 billion euros. In total, it provides for the provision of EUR 50 billion to Ukraine. The program will run from 2024 to 2027.

"We thank the EU for its unwavering support of Ukraine, which is of great importance for strengthening the country's economic sustainability and transformation on the way to full EU membership," Shmyhal said.
