UNICEF has delivered 270,000 doses of tetanus and diphtheria vaccine to Ukraine, purchased by the French government. Distribution of the vaccine among the regions has begun and will be completed in November.
Ukraine has received 270,000 doses of tetanus and diphtheria vaccine for routine free vaccinations for children and revaccination of adults, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported on Tuesday, UNN reports.

"Two batches of the vaccine, which is a total of 270 thousand doses, were delivered to Ukraine by the UN Children's Fund UNICEF. The distribution of the vaccine among the regions has already begun, and all regions will receive it in November," the Ministry of Health reported.
As noted, the vaccines were purchased at the expense of the French government and provided to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Addendum
On August 1, an additional round of vaccination of children and revaccination of adults against diphtheria and tetanus began across the country and will continue until the end of the year.
According to the Ministry of Health, in August and September, 65 985 children under 6 years of age and 71 338 children aged 7 to 17 years who had missed diphtheria and tetanus vaccinations earlier caught up with the additional round of immunization. In addition, 322 582 adults caught up with missed vaccinations and were revaccinated in August-September.
Adults are recommended to be revaccinated against tetanus and diphtheria every ten years. The vaccination is free of charge and can be done at vaccination centers in hospitals across the country, after making an appointment with your family doctor. Diphtheria and tetanus vaccinations can be given during pregnancy.
