This year, Ukraine plans to sow 5.6 million hectares of land, of which 477,000 hectares have already been planted with grains and pulses.
Ukraine plans to sow 5.6 million hectares of land this year. So far, almost 477 thousand hectares of grains and pulses have been sown, or about 8.5% of the planned area. This was announced during a government meeting by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, reports UNN.

"The issue of logistics is extremely important for us as the sowing campaign is well underway in Ukraine. Almost 477 thousand hectares of grain and pulses have already been sown. In total, we plan to sow 5.6 million hectares of land this year. And Ukraine will definitely maintain its status as a leading food exporter and a guarantor of global food security," Shmyhal said.
According to him, the leaders of the sowing campaign are Odesa, Mykolaiv, Ternopil, Poltava, Khmelnytsky, and Vinnytsia regions.

This year's sowing campaign is more intensive than last year. Traditionally, the southern regions are the most active in the sowing campaign. However, farmers in the frontline areas face the problems of mining and hostilities.
