Ukraine will strengthen defense cooperation with Estonia, particularly in the field of unmanned systems, and maintain a constant exchange of experience in responding to security challenges. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, according to UNN.

Svyrydenko reported that meetings were held in Tallinn with President Alar Karis, President of the Riigikogu Lauri Hussar, and Prime Minister Kristen Michal.

We agreed to strengthen defense cooperation, particularly in the field of unmanned systems, and to maintain a constant exchange of experience in responding to security challenges

According to her, Estonia continues to support the Ukrainian energy sector — its contribution to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund has already exceeded 2.6 million euros. At the same time, Ukraine is ready to share its own experience in energy decentralization and system management under difficult conditions.

Estonia is a reliable ally on our path to EU membership. I expressed gratitude for the support in providing Ukraine with an EU loan. We also discussed further strengthening of sanctions pressure on Russia, including work on the 21st sanctions package and countering the shadow fleet

According to her, special attention was paid to the work of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative for the return of Ukrainian children illegally deported to Russia. 

Estonia became the first country whose parliament ratified the agreement on the creation of a Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine. In parallel, we are working on the creation of a compensation mechanism. Thank you for participating in the reconstruction of Ukraine and for the projects already active in the Zhytomyr region. Ahead is the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdansk, where we will expand our cooperation
