The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has prepared a new recruitment algorithm for the Armed Forces, replacing outdated approaches with a clear mechanism for voluntary enlistment through recruitment centers and online platforms.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has prepared a new algorithm for recruiting into the Armed Forces. This was reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
Details
The agency assures that the algorithm is intended to replace outdated approaches with a clear mechanism for voluntary recruitment through recruitment centers and online.
Algorithm of enlistment for military service
Step 1 (Selecting a position and a military unit)
A candidate can choose a vacant position and a suitable military unit thanks to:
- recruiters in recruitment centers based on ASCs;
- online platforms:
- websites of military units;
- recruitment centers of individual military units;
- TCC JV.
Step 2 (Interview and communication with the military unit)
After being selected for the position, the candidate communicates with the military unit. The candidate must also pass an interview, physical fitness test, and psychological and diagnostic testing.
As a result, the candidate must receive a letter of recommendation from the military unit. The document indicates whether the military unit is on the list of priority recruitment (it is formed and updated by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine).
It is noted that the presence of a part in the list can be found at recruitment centers, recruiters and JV TCCs.
According to the new algorithm, if a unit is included in the list of priority recruitment, the issued letter of recommendation is mandatory for consideration in the further processing of a person.
If the unit is not on the priority manning list, before issuing a letter of recommendation to a person who intends to sign a contract, the unit must coordinate the engagement of this particular candidate with the higher command. Then the letter of recommendation will be mandatory for further consideration when recruiting such a person
Step 3 (Registration with the SPV TCC)
It is noted that a candidate (both for mobilization and for a contract) must visit the JV's TCC for:
- clarification of credentials;
- passing the medical examination board;
- Selection and formation of a personal file.
If the selection process determines that the candidate is not suitable for the selected position, he or she is offered other positions in the selected military unit as a priority.
Step 4 (Referral for military service)
Candidates with military service experience within the last 10 years and selected by direct selection will be assigned directly to the designated military units in accordance with letters of recommendation.
Instead, if a candidate has no experience of military service or is not selected for direct military service, he or she is sent to the relevant training center or reserve training battalion for advanced training courses to undergo basic general military training and further military service.
Important!
It is forbidden for the CA, military command and control bodies and TCC of the joint venture to send personnel who have completed training of the appropriate level to other military units, except for the units of priority recruitment in accordance with the provided letters of recommendation
