Shurma case: HACC заочно arrested former deputy head of the OP and his brother

The court chose a pre-trial restraint in the case of embezzlement of funds under the green tariff. The suspects are planned to be taken into custody after their detention and delivery.

The High Anti-Corruption Court has chosen a pre-trial detention measure for the former deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine and his brother. The former deputy head of the OP, Rostyslav Shurma, is suspected of involvement in a scheme related to the "green" tariff. This was reported by the SAP and NABU on Tuesday, writes UNN.
On April 21, 2026, (...) the investigating judge of the HACC chose a pre-trial detention measure for the former deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine and the owner of a network of Ukrainian and foreign companies (a close relative of the former deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine)
After the suspects are apprehended and delivered to the place of pre-trial investigation, the investigating judge, as indicated, will decide on the application of this preventive measure.
Case essence
The individuals are suspected of embezzling funds intended for payments under the "green" tariff, as part of an organized group that acted in the interests of a number of commercial energy-generating enterprises located in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
As reported by the SAP, 9 individuals were notified of suspicion in the case, including, according to UNN sources, the former deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine and former member of the supervisory board of NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine" Rostyslav Shurma.
