SBU, SBI, and National Police expose new schemes for selling "rear" positions in the AFU
Kyiv • UNN
Law enforcement officers have uncovered several schemes to evade mobilization in various regions of Ukraine. Commanders, in exchange for bribes, transferred military personnel to the rear or struck them off the military register.

Military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), and the National Police, in cooperation with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, have uncovered 4 new schemes for evading military service and mobilization. This was stated in a report by the SBU, UNN reports.
Details
It is noted that as a result of comprehensive measures, the organizers of the schemes were detained. They were transferring military personnel to "rear" positions or helping draft dodgers avoid conscription through forged documentation.
- In the Chernihiv region, a military unit commander was exposed for transferring mobilized personnel from combat units to the Chernihiv garrison in exchange for money. It was documented how the suspect registered three servicemen as "rear personnel" and "earned" nearly 2 million hryvnias from them.
- In the Zhytomyr region, a commander of one of the AFU brigades was detained for employing acquaintances and relatives in his unit. At the same time, the "mobilized" individuals did not actually perform military service duties, did not appear at the units, and remained at their actual places of residence. In exchange, the official took the bank cards of his "subordinates" and misappropriated their salaries. In this way, he "earned" 370,000 hryvnias.
- In the Khmelnytskyi region, a deputy commander of an AFU training center was served a notice of suspicion for transferring mobilized personnel to rear military units for bribes of 5,000 USD. To achieve this, the suspect promised to write letters of recommendation and influence acquaintances who were military unit commanders.
- In the Lviv region, a contract soldier of a border guard detachment was caught red-handed offering draft dodgers "removal" from the military register for 16,000 USD. To carry out the crime, he involved acquaintances among officials of the Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRC), who, for money, groundlessly registered conscripts as unfit for service due to health reasons.
It is indicated that the suspects have been notified of suspicion in accordance with the crimes committed under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The perpetrators face up to 10 years in prison.
Recall
SBI employees, together with the National Police in the Lviv region, exposed the head of one of the district departments of the branch of the State Institution "Probation Center," who organized a scheme to receive money from conscripts for "assistance" in evading mobilization.
