As a result of the Russian attack on Odesa region, fires broke out at shopping centers, one of which covered an area of 35,000 square meters. The fires have now been extinguished. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Odesa region, UNN reports.

Details

"Odesa region: the enemy attacked shopping centers, with people injured. Fires broke out as a result of the strikes. One of the shopping centers was completely engulfed in flames — firefighters extinguished the fire over an area of 35,000 square meters. Extinguishing the fire was significantly complicated by constant air-raid alerts, due to which firefighters were forced to suspend their work and retreat to safe locations. Because of the high flammability of the materials and finishes, the flames engulfed such a huge area within minutes," the statement said.

The State Emergency Service added that at another address, a fire broke out over a small area.

"Unfortunately, 4 people were injured," the State Emergency Service noted.

"The fires have now been extinguished. A total of 215 firefighters and 45 pieces of equipment from the State Emergency Service worked at the scenes," the State Emergency Service added, showing the aftermath.
