The Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian agent who was spying on Ukrainian military aircraft and air defense facilities near Kryvyi Rih to obtain intelligence for potential missile strikes by Russia.

The SBU CI detained another member of the FSB agent network, who was exposed earlier this year. She was spying on Ukrainian military aircraft near Kryvyi Rih. This was reported by the press service of the SBU, UNN reports .

It is noted that five Russian agents were detained in Dnipro and Donetsk regions. Among them were a defense plant engineer and a city council official in Donetsk region who were tracking the geolocation of the Armed Forces in the frontline areas.

The sixth suspect has been detained. The offender was trying to identify military airfields and Ukrainian air defense sites near Kryvyi Rih. She was also tracking the flight directions of Ukrainian combat aircraft.

In case of detection of the "necessary" objects, the attacker was to record their geolocation on electronic maps and "report" to the FSB. The aggressor planned to use the intelligence to prepare air strikes on the "targets" using missile weapons and Shahed-type kamikaze drones.

However, the SBU exposed the Russian agent in a timely manner, documented her criminal actions and detained her. According to the investigation, the suspect is a local resident and an ideological supporter of racism. In October 2023, the woman came to the attention of the FSB through her friend, another member of the enemy group, who is currently in custody,

During the searches of the suspect's apartment, a cell phone with evidence of her correspondence with the aggressor was seized.

The SBU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law). The offender is in custody. She faces life imprisonment.
