Russia attacked Ukraine with 2,300 drones and 1,500 aerial bombs in a week, Germany delivered IRIS-T – Zelenskyy

Over the week, the Russian Federation launched more than 2,300 drones and 1,500 aerial bombs at Ukraine. Zelenskyy announced the strengthening of air defense and the receipt of a new IRIS-T system.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that over the course of the week, Russian forces used more than 2,300 strike drones, nearly 1,560 guided aerial bombs, and 108 missiles of various types against Ukraine. The head of state reported this on Telegram, according to UNN.

According to the president, the main targets of the attacks remain civilian objects and critical infrastructure.

At the same time, Ukraine continues to strengthen its air defense system. The president reported that the day before, the country received a new IRIS-T launcher from Germany.
"We thank Germany for its constant contribution to the protection of people. Thousands upon thousands of lives have been saved thanks to such strong support,"
Ukraine counts on further strengthening of air defense
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine needs additional missiles for air defense systems to more effectively repel Russian attacks. According to him, one of the key priorities remains the development of anti-ballistic protection.
The president also reported on new agreements with Sweden regarding defense support, in particular the strengthening of Ukrainian aviation with Gripen aircraft, and noted the importance of continuing the international PURL program for the procurement of weapons for Ukraine.
"Strong air defense can provide more protection for our people and deprive Russia of its last advantage,"
He thanked partners for their support and emphasized that Moscow's attempts to expand the war must have consequences.
"It is very important that there is an understanding there: choosing war will have consequences,"
