Russia attacked Ukraine with 8 missiles, including two Oniks, and 143 drones; one Oniks and two other missiles, as well as 109 drones and two Banderols, were shot down or suppressed, the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force reported on Monday, writes UNN.

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force, during the night of August 24 (from 18:00 on August 23), the enemy attacked with two Oniks anti-ship missiles from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, 6 Kh-31P and Kh-59 guided air-launched missiles from the airspace over the Black Sea, as well as 143 Shahed-type attack UAVs (one-third of them jet-powered), Gerbera, S8000 "Banderol" and "Parody"-type decoy drones from the following directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russia, the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk, Hvardiiske – the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
"The main direction of the strike was Odesa region," the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force stated.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense shot down/suppressed an Oniks anti-ship missile, 2 Kh-31P and Kh-59 guided air-launched missiles, and 2 S8000 "Banderol" drones, as well as 109 enemy Shahed- and Gerbera-type UAVs and drones of other types in the south, north and east of the country. Hits by enemy air-attack weapons were recorded at 22 locations, as well as the falls of downed targets (debris) at 5 locations. In addition, some enemy missiles did not reach their targets; information regarding them is being clarified
