Details of the Rainer family tragedy have emerged in Los Angeles. Daughter Romy found her father's body, and learned about her mother's death from paramedics. The family's son, Nick, was detained by police.

A person close to the Reiner family detailed what happened at the house on the day the couple was murdered. This is reported by UNN with reference to The New York Times.
Details
According to a person close to the family, on the day of the couple's murder, a masseuse arrived at the Reiner's house for a scheduled appointment, but received no answer at the gate. After that, she called the couple's daughter, 28-year-old Romy Reiner.
Romy Reiner arrived with her roommate, then entered the house and saw her murdered father's body. She ran out of the house in despair, after which her neighbor called 911. According to the source, Romy Reiner did not see her mother's body and learned of her death later - from paramedics who then arrived at the scene.
On Tuesday, Los Angeles County prosecutors officially charged the couple's son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of first-degree murder. He lived in a guesthouse on his parents' property. In addition, he struggled with cocaine and heroin addiction.
A person close to the family said that in recent weeks there was no indication that 32-year-old Nick Reiner was capable of such violence.
Reiner's son was not found at the scene, however, he was detained by officers of the Los Angeles Police Department's Gang and Narcotics Division without incident that same evening around 9:30 p.m., 15 miles from the house. How the police found him was not reported.
Also, Nick Reiner was expected to appear in court for the first time on Tuesday, but he was not present at the hearing because, according to his lawyer, the suspect had not undergone a medical examination for transfer from prison.
