Nebenzya at the UN denied the Russian drone strike on a residential building in Romania

Nebenzya at the UN denied that a Russian drone hit a building in Romania, citing minor damage. Romanian authorities had previously confirmed the attack and the resulting fire.

Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, during a speech at the United Nations, questioned reports of a Russian drone hitting a residential building in Romania, UNN reports.

The Russian diplomat claimed that the consequences of the incident allegedly do not correspond to the nature of a combat drone strike. According to him, if a drone had actually hit the building, the destruction would have been much more extensive.
"If such a drone had indeed hit the roof of the building, the consequences would not have been limited to the fire shown by the Romanian media. The roof would have been completely destroyed,"
Romanian authorities previously reported the crash of a Russian drone into a residential building and the fire that broke out as a result of the strike. The statement by the Russian Permanent Representative became Moscow's latest attempt to cast doubt on data regarding Russian drone attacks on the territory of NATO member states neighboring Ukraine.
