The President of Lithuania accused Hungary of increasing security risks for Europe by facilitating entry for russians and belarusians. Hungary's new visa scheme allows citizens of these countries to enter without security checks.
Hungary's decision to simplify the entry procedure for russian and belarusian citizens increases security risks in Europe. This was stated by Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, according to UNN with reference to LRT.
Hungary's unilateral decisions, including the simplification of visa issuance to citizens of russia and belarus, contradict the values, principles of solidarity and agreements of the EU. Context
Earlier this month, Hungary announced a new simplified visa scheme under which citizens of eight countries, including russia and belarus, can enter Hungary without security checks or other restrictions.
