In March, interceptor drones destroyed over 33,000 targets, doubling February's figure. Ukraine is developing jet systems to shoot down UAVs.

In March, Ukrainian interceptor drones destroyed over 33,000 enemy drones, twice as many as the previous month. This was reported by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov on Telegram, writes UNN.

According to the minister, interceptor drones have become a key element of air defense. In just one month, they destroyed thousands of enemy targets, including "Shaheds", Zala, "Orlans" and other types of drones.

He emphasized that one of the main challenges remains reactive "Shaheds", whose speed is increasing, making their interception more difficult.
The key challenge is reactive Shaheds. The enemy is scaling up their use, their speed is increasing, and interception is becoming more difficult. Our task is to find a technological solution
To this end, the state, together with manufacturers, is analyzing technologies, identifying bottlenecks, and preparing solutions for scaling up production.
Within the EU4UA Defence Tech program, 12 technologies have already been supported, and companies will receive up to 150,000 euros for the development of high-speed interceptors with speeds exceeding 450 km/h.
Fedorov also reported that the Brave1 cluster unites about 100 manufacturers of interceptor drones, and more than 30 companies are working with artificial intelligence systems to detect and destroy air targets.
Among the key tasks for the market are the development of reactive interceptors and the creation of alternative guidance systems for operation in difficult weather conditions. The minister emphasized that the state is ready to promptly contract effective solutions and scale up production to strengthen the protection of the Ukrainian sky.
