In Odesa region, a TCC official promised to "resolve" the issue with AWOL for $10,000 - he was detained

The head of a district TCC group promised employment and influence on the investigation for money. The perpetrator was detained while receiving a bribe and taken into custody.

In the Odesa region, an official of the district territorial recruitment and social support center (TCC and SP) was exposed for promising a serviceman, in exchange for money, to help him avoid responsibility for unauthorized abandonment of service and to assist with employment. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, as conveyed by UNN.

According to the investigation, the head of a group in one of the departments of the RTCC and SP offered to secure an appointment to a vacant position in the TCC for 10 thousand US dollars, including providing the relevant written consent.
In addition, he assured that he could influence law enforcement officers to close proceedings regarding unauthorized abandonment of service. In case of refusal to "cooperate," the official threatened to inform law enforcement agencies and create problems with further service.
Law enforcement officers documented the transfer of illegal benefits, which occurred in parts. The official was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine while receiving the last tranche.
Under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Southern region, he was notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — obtaining undue benefits for influencing decision-making by officials, combined with extortion.
The court chose a preventive measure for the suspect – detention with an alternative bail of UAH 998,400.
Currently, law enforcement officers are checking the involvement of other persons and establishing possible additional episodes of the offense.
