In Kryvyi Rih, authorities warned of possible new enemy strikes on shopping malls

In Kryvyi Rih, following Russian strikes on shopping malls, residents were warned of possible new attacks on large shopping centers. City residents were urged to avoid such places or move to shelters during an air raid alert. This was reported by Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city's Defense Council, on social media on Saturday, according to UNN.

Details

"Dear residents of Kryvyi Rih, listen — this is serious and concerns the security situation. In Kryvyi Rih, the enemy has already struck two large shopping complexes — Epicentr and Soniachna Halereia. Intelligence indicates that strikes on other large shopping centers in frontline cities and, in particular, Kryvyi Rih, are possible. Therefore, I strongly ask you — it is better to refrain from visiting large shopping centers. Or, at the very least, visit shopping centers whose owners have created and equipped shelters, and go there when an air raid alert is announced," the official wrote.

Oleksandr Vilkul also reminded residents that the region and the city have a Defense Council decision concerning the operation of commercial facilities during air raid alerts. According to him, on July 29, a meeting was held at the city executive committee regarding a ban on operating during an alert. More than 100 entrepreneurs and store owners signed the relevant documents, including the management of Soniachna Halereia.

"At Soniachna Halereia, an air raid alert was also announced yesterday via loudspeakers 20 minutes before the explosion. But the stores remained open, people were inside those stores, and very few went to the shelter. I strongly ask you — listen to me and become more responsible. Both entrepreneurs and all city residents. This really could save your life and the lives of your loved ones," the official stressed.

Reminder
