Germany to finance Patriot systems and new drones for Ukraine

Germany emphasizes that the goal of such support is to strengthen Ukraine's position in potential peace negotiations.
Berlin will finance Ukraine's contract with the American company Raytheon for the supply of several hundred missiles for Patriot systems, UNN reports with reference to dpa.
An agreement has also been reached with the German company Diehl Defence regarding additional launchers for Iris-T air defense systems.
Separately, the parties agreed on the production of medium and long-range drones. Plans include the creation of a joint venture to produce thousands of UAVs.
Germany emphasizes that the goal of such support is to strengthen Ukraine's position in potential peace negotiations and to prevent a scenario in which Russia can dictate the terms of ending the war to Kyiv.
