The conference in Luxembourg will focus on the new phase of NATO's partnership with Ukraine and is scheduled to take place this week.
The General Staff reminded that the NATO-Ukraine Strategic Defense Procurement Review is part of the Alliance's Comprehensive Assistance Package, an initiative launched in 2016 to support Ukraine's ability to strengthen its security and implement large-scale reforms.
The review, which is being supported by Norway and requested by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, is being led by experts from NATO and Ukraine in close cooperation with the NATO Procurement Agency.
The review aims to help Ukraine reform its defense procurement system and align it with NATO practices and standards. Its recommendations will ensure greater accountability, transparency and interoperability, helping to pave the way for Ukraine's future membership in the Alliance.
The military also noted that this conference represents the beginning of the first phase of the review, which creates working groups to develop a set of policy recommendations to be approved at the Washington summit in July.
