A former official of the Armed Forces of Ukraine illegally enriched himself by UAH 58 million during the full-scale Russian invasion by acquiring unjustified assets - a car, an apartment, land plots and other property.

Law enforcers detained the former head of the Central Food Supply Department of the Logistics Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The agency said that the State Bureau of Investigation continues its consistent work and systematic counteraction to the illicit enrichment of officials, including allegedly as a result of abuse of procurement in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In particular, investigators found that the detained official acquired unjustified assets worth almost UAH 58 million in 2022-2023. In particular, these include a car, an apartment in Kyiv, 53 land plots in Ukraine and other property.

In addition, enterprises controlled by the official acquired a 2000 m2 warehouse and the only property complex of an experimental prosthetic and orthopedic enterprise.
