Deserter detained in Odesa for knife attack on passers-by and a child

A drunk man injured a child and threatened people with a knife in Odesa. The assailant turned out to be a deserter and was handed over to the military law enforcement service.
In Odesa, patrol officers detained a man who threatened passers-by with a knife and inflicted bodily harm on a child. In addition, the police established that the attacker is considered a person who arbitrarily left a military unit. This was reported by the Patrol Police of Ukraine, according to UNN.
Yesterday, the 102 line received a report about an aggressive man who threatened citizens with a knife and inflicted bodily harm on a child. The child was hospitalized by ambulance doctors, and patrol officers immediately began examining the surrounding area.
Inspectors established the whereabouts of the offender. He was hiding on the territory of a private house.
In addition, according to the investigation, during the conversation, the man behaved aggressively, showed clear signs of intoxication, and continued to express threats. He was detained with the use of physical force and handcuffs.
The police checked his identity and established that he is considered a person who arbitrarily left a military unit, so he was handed over to the military law enforcement service. Investigators entered information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 1 of Article 125 (Intentional minor bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
