Before the holidays, passenger traffic through the checkpoints of the Lviv region is increasing – Ukrainians are going abroad for recreation and shopping. Where the greatest load is, the State Border Guard Service told UNN.
The highest load is recorded in "Shehyni" and "Krakovets", while the smallest queues are in "Smilnytsia" and "Nyzhankovychi". Moderate traffic is in "Rava-Ruska", "Uhryniv" and "Hrushiv"
The State Border Guard Service notes that, according to forecasts, traffic will increase by 25%.
Border guards are gradually increasing the number of personnel, deploying additional automated workstations, and maintaining close cooperation with Polish colleagues. A short-term decrease in traffic intensity is expected on Christmas and New Year's days, and a gradual decrease in passenger traffic is predicted after the first week of January
Border guards advise choosing less busy points and night or morning hours for faster crossing.
