Ukraine continues to experience high electricity consumption, with blackout schedules in place in all regions. It is planned to import 12,447 MWh of electricity from five neighboring countries.

Electricity consumption in Ukraine remains high, with hourly blackouts scheduled to continue in all regions today. Electricity imports are planned from five countries, Ukrenergo reported on Thursday, UNN reports.

According to Ukrenergo, consumption remains high, but is in line with seasonal indicators. Today, December 5, as of 9:30 a.m., its level was the same as at this time on the previous day, Wednesday.

Yesterday, December 4, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the morning. It was 3.7% higher than the previous business day's maximum on Tuesday, December 3.

According to the company, there is a significant power deficit in the power system after eleven massive Russian attacks.  Hourly blackouts for household consumers and power limitation schedules for industry and business are now being enforced in all regions.

Electricity will be imported throughout the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova. The total volume is 12,447 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 851 MW in some hours.

The time of application and the scope of the restrictions will be as follows:

FOR HOUSEHOLD CONSUMERS

   - 06:00 - 07:00 - one turn of outages

   - 07:00 - 20:00 - two outage queues

   - 20:00 - 22:00 - one outage queue

FOR INDUSTRY AND BUSINESS

   - 05:00 - 23:00 - application of power limitation schedules.
