As strikes on Russian military targets increase, Moscow is issuing more fakes about attacks on civilians - CCD of the NSDC

Head of the CCD Kovalenko stated that Russian fakes regarding attacks on civilians have intensified. The RF is inventing lies to justify systemic terror against Ukrainians.

Russian propaganda is increasingly spreading fakes about alleged "Ukrainian attacks on civilians," especially after successful strikes by the Defense Forces on Russian military targets. This was stated by Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) of the National Security and Defense Council, on social media on Wednesday, UNN reports.

According to him, Russia either provides no evidence for its accusations or invents stories like the "children in Starobilsk."
"Russia is increasingly lying about Ukraine 'attacking civilians,' providing no evidence or making up stories about 'children in Starobilsk.' The more successful our attacks on their military facilities are, the more often lies appear,"
He stressed that it is Russia that systematically attacks the civilian population of Ukraine with missiles, strike UAVs, and drones, waging not only a military but also a demographic war.
"The goal is to kill people and induce Ukrainians to relocate from the territory of Ukraine," noted the head of the CCD.
Kovalenko recalled that Russian strikes on civilian objects are recorded throughout Ukraine – in Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odesa, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kherson, Nikopol, and other cities.
"They systematically kill civilians in minibuses, in their own apartments, on the streets," he stated.
According to the head of the CCD, against the backdrop of a large amount of evidence of Russian crimes, the Kremlin is trying to create a "parallel reality" in which they attempt to portray Ukraine as a party acting in the same way as Russia.
"They are starting to use the main tool of their own propaganda – the creation of a parallel reality. And they try to spread this parallel reality through their own propaganda tools to blur the truth. Against the background of attacks on our civilians, they invent stories in which Ukraine acts the same way as Russia. And all this is to justify their own terror as a supposed 'response to our actions'," Kovalenko explained.
Separately, he commented on Russian statements regarding Starobilsk.
"The lie about 'killed children in Starobilsk' is from the same opera, although in reality, 'Rubikon' pilots who were killing our people were destroyed there," he emphasized.
Kovalenko added that such information campaigns are part of the systematic work of Russian propaganda.
"This lie and parallel reality will be sown throughout the information space," the head of the CCD concluded.
