The Ministry of Internal Affairs will update the protocols for patrol officers' work and involve military personnel in their training. Combat veterans will be offered positions as police instructors.

After the events of April 18 in Kyiv, the National Police will review response protocols and the personnel training system. This was announced by Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko during a meeting with journalists, UNN reports.

According to him, the President of Ukraine gave the corresponding instruction.
Patrol police officers will undergo enhanced training at training grounds in rotation. Military personnel with combat experience in the 1st and 2nd army corps of the National Guard, as well as the State Border Guard Service, are planned to be involved in the training.
In addition, veterans will be offered to continue their service in the police combat training system after demobilization.
Patrols must be prepared for the potential threat of weapons use even during routine calls
