Germany and the United States are not the only countries blocking Ukraine's invitation to join NATO. Hungary, Slovakia, Belgium, Slovenia and Spain are also resisting. This was reported by Politico, citing its own sources, UNN reported.

In addition to the key allies who are leading in terms of military assistance to our country, there are at least five other countries in NATO that are not ready to contribute to the implementation of the first point of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Victory Plan.
Two of them are quite obvious: Slovakia and Hungary, whose populist governments are pro-Kremlin and openly say that they will prevent Kyiv from moving toward membership in the Alliance,
Three more, according to the publication's interlocutors, "have doubts and hide behind the United States and Germany." These are Belgium, Slovenia and Spain. Their leaders "seem to support the idea as long as it has abstract outlines, but will increasingly resist when the invitation becomes a more concrete prospect."
This position is in sharp contrast to the Baltic states and Poland, which are the biggest supporters of Ukraine's membership.
