The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the State Bureau of Investigation, has detained a Russian intelligence agent within the Defense Forces. The individual is an employee of the State Border Guard Service recruited by the enemy; he was involved in directing enemy strikes on the northern regions of the country. This was reported by UNN with reference to the SBU.

As the investigation established, the perpetrator plotted routes for the "safe" movement of Russian missiles and attack drones to "bypass" Ukrainian air defense. He used Google Maps for this purpose.
He stored the information on his smartphone for further transmission to Russian handlers. The agent also attempted to track the locations of Ukrainian drone units and energy infrastructure.
During searches following the suspect's detention, a smartphone containing a "report" intended for transmission to Russian handlers was discovered and seized. The detainee has been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment from 15 years to life, with confiscation of property. The perpetrator is currently in custody.
