Over 43,000 military personnel have undergone rehabilitation in trade union health resorts - FPU Chairman Serhiy Byzov

Since 2014, over 43,000 Ukrainian military personnel have undergone rehabilitation at the health resort facilities of PrAT "Ukrprofozdorovnytsia." Additionally, more than 40,000 of our defenders and their family members have completed psychological recovery programs, UNN reports.

The rehabilitation of military personnel must remain one of the state's key priorities, as the speed of defenders' return to a full life depends precisely on the quality of their recovery. This involves not only physical rehabilitation but also psychological support for the military and their families, stated Serhiy Byzov, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine.

"I am convinced that the rehabilitation of the military and support for their families must remain an unconditional priority of the state. Trade unions will continue to work to ensure that rehabilitation programs expand and are accessible to every service member and family in need. This is our duty to those who protect the country. And we will fulfill it," Serhiy Byzov, Chairman of the FPU, wrote on Facebook.

According to FPU data, 7,576 ATO participants underwent rehabilitation between 2014 and 2022. Since the start of the full-scale war, from 2022 through the first quarter of 2024, an additional 36,181 service members have completed relevant programs. Furthermore, in 2022-2024, 40,773 military personnel and their family members underwent psychological rehabilitation programs.

As a reminder

Earlier, the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine, Serhiy Byzov, reported that military personnel are undergoing rehabilitation in sanatoriums contracted by the National Health Service of Ukraine for 2024, which are focused on the medical recovery of defenders.

In addition, the Federation, together with relevant ministries, is expanding social adaptation and employment programs for veterans, particularly through their involvement in enterprises and support upon their return from the front.
