Over the past day, 189 combat engagements took place, half of which were in three sectors. The enemy launched over 8,000 kamikaze drones and carried out 84 airstrikes.
Half of the 189 battles on the front over the past day occurred in three directions - Pokrovsk, Huliaipole, and Kostiantynivka, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its morning briefing on April 29, showing a map of hostilities, UNN reports.
The Defense Forces are repelling the occupiers' attempts to advance deep into the territory of Ukraine, inflicting significant losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment in various sectors of the front. In total, 189 combat engagements were recorded over the past day
Yesterday, the enemy launched 84 air strikes and dropped 234 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it deployed 8,409 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,019 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops, including 42 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The aggressor carried out air strikes, particularly in the areas of the settlements of Zelene, Rivne, Charivne, Dolynka, Huliaipilske, Liubytske, Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhivska, Malokaterynivka, and Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces hit four unmanned aerial vehicle control points, five concentration areas, and one other important object of the occupiers.
Situation by directions
In the Pivnichno-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the Defense Forces repelled one enemy attack over the past day; the occupiers carried out 86 shellings of our troops' positions and settlements, including five using multiple launch rocket systems, and launched six air strikes using 15 guided aerial bombs.
In the Pivdenno-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units eight times near the settlement of Starytsia and towards Grafske, Okhrimivka, Mala Vovcha, Chervona Zoria, and Bochkovo.
In the Kupyansk direction, the aggressor attacked four times in the areas of the settlements of Novoplatonivka and Kupyansk.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled six attempts by the invaders to advance near the settlements of Drobysheve and Dibrova.
In the Slovyansk direction, during the past day, our defenders stopped six attempts by the occupiers to advance forward in the area of Yampil and towards the settlement of Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk and Orikhiv directions, the occupiers did not conduct active offensive operations over the past day.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 21 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Ivanopillia, and Pleshchiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 48 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Novopavlivka, Sofiivka, Vilne, Novooleksandrivka, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Udachne, Muravka, and Novopidhorodne.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked six times in the areas of Oleksandrohrad, Stepove, Zlahoda, and Krasnohirskyi.
In the Huliaipole direction, 29 attacks by the occupiers took place in the areas of Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Dobropillia, Sviatopetrivka, Varvarivka, Staroukrainka, Olenokostiantynivka, Zelene, and towards Hirke and Charivne.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian units stopped three enemy attacks towards Antonivka and Kruhlyk Island.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
