The President of Ukraine reported on the Armed Forces' advance in the Kursk region and work with partners on long-range weapons. Zelenskyy also thanked the military for strikes on Russian airfields.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are achieving their strategic goal in the Kursk region. The president also stressed that Ukraine continues to work with partners on long-term solutions for our country. Zelensky said this in an evening address, UNN reports.

Today, Chief Syrsky has already reported several times on our front and on our operation in the Kursk region. We've just had another conversation. We have agreed that we will send additional weapons to the Donetsk area for our soldiers from the next support packages - beyond what is planned. Today, we have good progress in the Kursk region - we are achieving our strategic goal. We have also significantly replenished the exchange fund for our country
Zelenskyy also said that he had a conversation with government officials about supporting the military's actions in the Kursk region.
It is important that Ukraine fights according to the rules, and the humanitarian needs in that territory must be met. The report of the head of the Security Service of Ukraine was also positive today. I would like to thank all our soldiers of the Security Service of Ukraine, as well as soldiers of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, the GUR and all the structures involved. Thank you for the accurate, timely and effective strikes on Russian airfields. Our Ukrainian drones work exactly as they should. But there are things that cannot be done with drones alone. Unfortunately. We need other weapons - missile weapons. And we continue to work with our partners on long-range solutions for Ukraine, because these are forward-looking solutions for our victory. We need to do this. The bolder the decisions of our partners, the less Putin can do. And today I held a meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, our Office, the National Security and Defense Council.
