House Republicans rejected a resolution to limit the US president's powers. This is the second failed attempt by congressmen in a week.

The US House of Representatives has supported President Donald Trump's military campaign against Iran. The latest attempt to limit Trump's powers regarding the war in the Middle East has failed, reports UNN with reference to Reuters.

The resolution on Trump's war powers was rejected by a vote of 214 to 213. Republicans currently hold the majority in the US House of Representatives. This happened the day after a similar bill was blocked in the Senate.
This is the second time since the beginning of the conflict that the House of Representatives has rejected a bill aimed at limiting Trump's war powers. The Senate's failed attempt to pass the resolution on Wednesday was the fourth in that chamber.
