Donald Trump's legal team has formally asked a judge to overturn the former president's conviction for remaining silent, as well as the indictment that led to his trial.

In a court document released Thursday, Trump's attorneys Todd Blanch and Emil Bove outlined their view that prosecutors in the New York criminal case were wrong to rush to judgment against Trump while the Supreme Court was still considering a decision on Trump's immunity from prosecution claim.
