Top National Police officials in 3 regions receive suspicion notices in 'porn office' covering up case; luxury cars and millions in cash seized – Prosecutor General

Five police officials served with suspicion notices for covering up a network of porn offices. During searches, luxury cars and over 22.6 million UAH were seized from the suspects.

In the case regarding the protection of "porn offices," 5 individuals have been served with notices of suspicion following searches, including 4 top police officials in three regions; luxury cars and 22 million UAH in cash were seized, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko reported on social media on Wednesday, UNN reports.
Operation to clean up the National Police: Part 2. During searches of top National Police officials, a luxury fleet of six cars, 5 Swiss watches, firearms and cold weapons, mobile phones, as well as cash in various currencies totaling over 22.6 million UAH were seized. According to the Prosecutor General, "the driver of the motor depot of the State Institution 'Service Center for MIA Units,' who acted as a mediator, is charged with incitement and complicity in the receipt of an unlawful benefit in an especially large amount by an official holding a responsible position for refraining from taking actions using their official position in the interests of third parties, specifically repeatedly and by prior conspiracy by a group of persons under Part 4, 5 of Art. 27, Part 4 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine."
"The actions of the Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police (GUNP) in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, his deputy, as well as the First Deputy Head of the GUNP in the Ternopil region and the Deputy Head of the GUNP in the Zhytomyr region, are qualified under Part 4 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely the receipt by an official holding a responsible position of an unlawful benefit in an especially large amount for themselves for the non-performance by such an official, in the interests of third parties, of actions using their official position, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons," the Prosecutor General noted.

A large-scale operation to cleanse the National Police system of corruption has been conducted in Ukraine, uncovering a scheme to cover up "porn offices" in three regions, as reported by Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko. According to the investigation, the leadership of territorial police units in the Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, and Zhytomyr regions allegedly ensured the unhindered operation of a network of so-called "porn offices."
Among those detained are the Head of the GUNP in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the Deputy Head of the GUNP in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the First Deputy Head of the GUNP in the Ternopil region, the Deputy Head of the GUNP in the Zhytomyr region, and a driver of the motor depot of the State Institution "Service Center for MIA Units," the National Police and the SBU reported.
According to the case files, the suspects were involved in "protecting" the activities of models on internet platforms with explicit content. Thus, for various amounts of unlawful benefits, the officials, according to the SBU, guaranteed their "protégés" immunity from prosecution for illegal content.
