The Presidents of Ukraine and Serbia have a telephone conversation to discuss the development of bilateral relations and coordination of efforts on the path to the EU. Serbia provides financial and humanitarian support to Ukraine, but refrains from sanctions against Russia.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic the development of relations between the countries and coordinated efforts on the common path to the EU, UNN reports.

"I had a phone conversation with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic to discuss the development of relations between our countries. I thanked Serbia for its financial and humanitarian support. We coordinated our efforts on the common path to the EU. President Vucic congratulated the Ukrainian people on the New Year holidays and expressed hope for a speedy peace," Zelenskyy wrote.

Zelensky reminded that earlier this week he  accepted credentials from the new Ambassador of Serbia.

"I believe that the resumption of the full-fledged work of the diplomatic mission headed by the ambassador will contribute to the development of our cooperation," Zelenskyy said.
