The United Kingdom will help stop the launch of Russian missiles at Ukraine - Burnham

UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham said he would work to strengthen assistance to Ukraine, particularly within the framework of the Coalition of the Willing, in air defense and countering Russian missile strikes. Burnham made the statement during his visit to Kyiv for Independence Day, UNN reports.

"Later today, together with President Macron and Chancellor Merz, I will co-chair the Coalition of the Willing. I am determined to work together to provide you with the support you need, Mr. President, more strongly than ever before. This means not only air defense, but also stopping Russia from launching its missiles. Through sanctions that cut off their military equipment supplies, through long-range strike capabilities, as well as by helping Ukraine develop new technologies and deepening our industrial cooperation," Burnham said.

He emphasized the need to impose sanctions on supply chains, destroy missiles before they are launched, and help Ukraine develop new technologies.

"This is a moment to continue putting pressure on Russia. A moment to constrain its ability to finance this illegal war. That is how we will accelerate its realization that Russia cannot win this war," the British prime minister added.
