The Ukrainian Navy spokesperson expressed “regret” that Russia did not hold a parade on the occasion of the Navy Day in the Black Sea. He noted that Ukraine could have joined the parade with naval drones.

The spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, commented on the decision of the Russians not to hold a parade on the occasion of the Russian Navy Day in the Black Sea, noting that Ukraine could have joined the parade with marine drones. Pletenchuk said this on the air of a telethon, UNN reports.

Details

When asked about Russia's recent Navy Day parade, in particular about the types of ships on display, Pletenchuk said that Ukraine was not interested in ships that are part of other fleets, and there are three more - the Northern, Baltic, and Pacific fleets.

These are different theaters and different confrontations. In principle, they can theoretically enter our waters through the inland waters of Russia, but it makes no sense. Therefore, what they have on the outer perimeters is of little concern to us, and the Bosphorus is closed. As for the parade, we were really looking forward to them holding a parade here. We could have joined it, but in such small, unmanned units. For some reason, they did not hold a parade in the Black Sea this year. It's a pity, really

- Pletenchuk said.

Recall

The Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council reportedthat Russian dictator Vladimir Putin organized a pompous celebration on the “Day of the Russian Navy” and “Day of the Baptism of the Russian Movement” that was uncharacteristic of previous years, aimed at intimidating the West and ideologically justifying Russian militarism.
