The RF should think about its own oil refineries rather than citizens of other states: Zelenskyy reacts to Putin's moves regarding Transnistria
Kyiv • UNN
Zelenskyy has instructed intelligence to prepare a response to the simplified issuance of Russian passports in Transnistria. He urged Moscow to take care of its own oil refineries and oil.

Russia needs to think more about its oil refineries and its oil transshipment, rather than about the citizens of other states and the land of other peoples. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commenting on Russia's new step regarding Transnistria, adding that he expects proposals from the Ukrainian special services and intelligence regarding the response format, UNN reports.
The day before, Russia took a new step regarding Transnistria: the Russians simplified the possibility of obtaining citizenship for people from this region of Moldova. This is a specific step and means not only that Russia is looking for new soldiers in this way, as citizenship implies military duty. It is also Russia's designation of the territory of Transnistria as supposedly its own
The President added that Moscow often tells various interlocutors that they are supposedly only interested in Donbas.
In fact, it is far from just Donbas. We must react to this. Especially since the Russian military contingent and the location of special services in Transnistria are also a challenge for us. We are interested in a stable, strong Moldova
The Head of State instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to contact Moldova accordingly regarding a joint assessment and joint actions. He also expects proposals from the Ukrainian special services and from our intelligence regarding the response format.
Russia needs to think more about its oil refineries and its oil transshipment, rather than about the citizens of other states and the land of other peoples
As a reminder
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the simplified granting of Russian citizenship to residents of unrecognized Transnistria.
