The Ministry of Defense reacted to the murder of a TCC serviceman in Lviv and stated that anyone who attacks military personnel acts against Ukraine. The relevant statement was published by the department after the tragedy, writes UNN.

The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the Ukrainian state relies, in particular, on military personnel who serve not only at the front but also in the rear, ensuring the country's defense.

Anyone who kills a serviceman – at the front or in the rear – acts against Ukraine. The killer will face inevitable punishment. This is the only acceptable position

– the ministry stated.

Promised changes in the mobilization system

The Ministry of Defense also acknowledged that the mobilization system needs changes and noted that they should be implemented in the near future.

On April 2, a TCC serviceman died in Lviv as a result of an attack due to a neck wound.

Immediately after that, the police launched a special operation and opened a murder case. 

Later, law enforcement officers reported that the suspected attacker, who fatally wounded a TCC serviceman with a knife to the neck in Lviv, was detained - the suspect turned out to be an inspector of the Lviv customs.

The State Customs Service officially confirmed that the man detained on suspicion of murdering a TCC serviceman in Lviv is an employee of the Lviv customs.
