Greatest attention on front on Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk; plan of active measures determined - Zelenskyy

President Zelenskyy discussed the situation in Donetsk region with the military, particularly around Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk. They also considered a threefold reduction in missile supplies for air defense and the priorities for long-range sanctions against russia.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that at a meeting he discussed the situation on the front, particularly around Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk, the strength and potential of the units, determined a plan of active measures, and discussed priorities for August for long-range sanctions against Russia, UNN writes.
According to the President, he held a meeting with the military, the Ministry of Defence, and teams from the Security Service of Ukraine, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, and the Office.
First: a report by Mykhailo Drapatyi, Ihor Skybiuk, and Yevhenii Khmara on the situation at the front and key supply needs. Most attention is currently, of course, focused on Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk. Mykhailo reported on the strength and potential of the units involved in the area, as well as the key objectives and tasks being carried out. Yevhenii Khmara identified the needs for drone supplies and funding, which must be fulfilled without delay. We determined which of our active measures will be implemented in Donetsk region and in certain other areas of the front. I am grateful to all units for their resilience. Personnel issues in the Armed Forces of Ukraine were also discussed
According to him, "second: we determined the procedure for additional steps to protect infrastructure facilities in Ukraine".
"This year, unfortunately, the supply of anti-ballistic systems from our partners has decreased significantly. The number of air defence missiles supplied has fallen threefold compared with 2025. And this concerns not only the summer period, but all periods of the first half of 2026. Our partners have missiles. It is important that the necessary political decisions regarding supplies and the acceleration of production processes, including localisation in Ukraine, are nevertheless made. This is something that can provide significant support not only to our country, but also to the global protection of life," Zelenskyy wrote.
Today, the President noted, there was also a report by Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhii Koretskyi. "Together with representatives of Ukrainian business, the Prime Minister will propose measures to support entrepreneurial and logistics activity in Ukraine," he reported.
Third: we discussed in detail with the military, intelligence services, and special services our priorities for August regarding long-range sanctions against Russia for this war. Operations targeting Russian oil facilities and refining are ongoing. The cost of prolonging the war for the aggressor will increase. It is important that sanctions by our partners against Russia strengthen our long-range impact. We will discuss this with key states.
