The fourth day of the Ambassadors’ Conference concluded in Kyiv, where humanitarian policy, support for veterans, and cooperation with the diaspora were discussed. Particular attention was paid to countering Russian disinformation through a new handbook and training sessions.
The fourth day of the Meeting of Heads of Ukraine’s Foreign Diplomatic Missions, "Ambassadors’ Meeting – 2026," took place in Kyiv. During the meeting, participants discussed humanitarian policy, support for veterans, cooperation with the Ukrainian diaspora, and strengthening efforts to counter Russian disinformation. During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariana Betsa emphasized that the humanitarian sphere remains one of the key areas of Ukraine’s international activities. Particular attention was paid to supporting Ukrainians affected by the war, including children, as well as to the role of the Association of Spouses of Ukrainian Diplomats in implementing humanitarian and charitable projects.
Minister for Veterans’ Affairs Vitaliy Kim stated that one of the state’s main priorities is systematic support for veterans and their successful integration into civilian life. Participants also emphasized the need to shape an objective international perception of Ukrainian veterans.
The focus was on the diaspora and information security
Participants in the meeting agreed to intensify cooperation with the Ukrainian diaspora, focusing on the implementation of specific projects in education, professional networks, investment, and human capital development. The importance of cultural diplomacy as a tool for promoting Ukraine’s interests abroad was also emphasized.
A separate section was devoted to information security. The SPRAVDI Center for Strategic Communications presented diplomats with a practical guide on countering disinformation, while MFA spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi conducted training on crisis communications, interaction with the media, and responding to information challenges in the countries where diplomatic missions are located.
