The discussion was about unblocking $90 billion and other European issues - Zelenskyy spoke with von der Leyen
Kyiv • UNN
Ukraine has fulfilled the conditions for receiving financial support and opening negotiation clusters with the EU. The parties also agreed to strengthen sanctions against Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. First and foremost, they discussed unblocking the 90 billion euro support package, UNN reports.
These funds will strengthen not only Ukraine but also all of Europe. And it is important that we start receiving them in the near future. All necessary steps for this have been taken by Ukraine.
The President added that other European issues were also discussed.
It is absolutely fair to open negotiation clusters regarding our membership in the European Union – technically, Ukraine is already fully ready. And it is equally fair to continue sanction pressure on Russia – Europe's determination in adopting new sanction steps is crucial against the backdrop of the weakening of some existing restrictions. We agreed to discuss these issues in detail and coordinate the next steps during our meeting.
