Russian dictator Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, which lasted over 1.5 hours. This was stated to Russian media by Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov, reports UNN.

According to Ushakov, Putin told Trump about his readiness to declare a truce for the Victory Day period, and Trump supported this.
In addition, the Russian dictator told Trump about "purely terrorist methods of attacks on civilian objects," Ushakov added.
In turn, Trump told Putin that a deal to resolve the conflict in Ukraine is already close.
In addition, according to Ushakov, Putin spoke about the "successes" of Russian troops in the "SVO" (special military operation).
"Putin told Trump that the goals of the SVO will be achieved, and the Russian Federation would prefer to do this through negotiations," the Kremlin aide added.
