Public alert systems authorized to be activated for the morning minute of silence

Public alert systems will announce a minute of silence every day at 09:00. They will also be used during the annual 'Light a Candle' campaign in November.

The government has allowed the use of public alert systems to announce the daily minute of silence, First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported on social media on Friday, UNN reports.
The government has authorized the use of alert systems for commemorative announcements. From now on, they will be used daily at 09:00 to announce the nationwide minute of silence
According to her, they were also authorized for use during the minute of silence for the all-Ukrainian "Light a Candle" campaign, which takes place annually on the fourth Saturday of November to honor the memory of the victims of the Holodomor of 1932–1933.
"We are forming a new culture of remembrance. The daily minute of silence is an important component of it and a manifestation of our respect for the fallen Defenders, both military and civilian," Svyrydenko emphasized.
