Over the past month, Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure have caused billions of hryvnias in damage.

Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure over the past month have caused billions of hryvnias in damage. The damage is being analyzed to determine which equipment and facilities need to be repaired or restored. This was reported by Deputy Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk during a telethon, according to a correspondent of UNN.

"Every Russian attack on our energy sector means hundreds of millions of hryvnias. If we calculate the consequences over the past month, it amounts to billions. We are now analyzing what needs to be repaired and restored, what equipment is needed, at which facilities, and where it is advisable to do so," says Mr. Hrynchuk.

According to the Ministry of Energy, in regions subject to constant attacks by Russia, repairing large power generating facilities sometimes only increases the enemy's attention, which can lead to attacks the very next day.

"We are trying to repair what can be repaired, and we are engaging all our resources and the help of our partners to restore those facilities that we will critically need to get through the next heating season," she added.
