Russian troops are not forming a "striking fist" for a serious breakthrough in the Tauride direction, and the enemy's numbers remain relatively stable despite rotations and reinforcements.

Currently, there are no grounds to say that Russian troops are preparing a "shock fist" for a breakthrough in any of the directions in the Tauride sector - the number of enemy troops has more or less remained the same, said Dmytro Lykhoviy, spokesman for the joint press center of the Tauride defense forces, during a telethon on Tuesday, UNN reports.

"We see all the attempts of the Russians to conduct a certain rotation, to reinforce those units that are being depleted and destroyed. (...) But there is no reason to say that in any of the directions of the Tavria Joint Forces Operation Center the enemy is forming a "striking fist" for a major breakthrough into the depths of our defense. Mostly it is about replacing their existing forces, which...  need to be restored, reinforced, replaced. That is, the total number of their contingent in each of the segments remains constant, give or take. And there is no question of forming "shock fists". If this were the case, we would have seen it, we would have warned about it, we would have been ready in any case," said Lykhoviy.

He added that there are about 48,000 Russian troops in the Avdiivka sector, about 50,000 in the Zaporizhzhia sector, and "the rest of the section is of the same order, maybe a little more, give or take.

At the same time, according to him, over the past day in the Tauride sector, "total Russian losses in manpower amounted to 420 killed and wounded", among the destroyed enemy equipment was a BUK-M2 surface-to-air missile system.

According to him, the Ukrainian military also destroyed 6 armored combat vehicles, 6 artillery systems, 24 vehicles, 328 UAVs of various types, as well as 6 ammunition depots, 1 fuel and lubricant depot and 2 enemy dugouts. In addition, among the destroyed items were a Strela-10 air defense system and a buggy vehicle.
