More than 24 thousand families have received the Baby Box since the beginning of 2024

Since the beginning of this year, 24,360 families have chosen the Baby Box at birth. The leaders are Kyiv, Dnipro and Zakarpattia regions. This was reported by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, UNN reports.

Since the beginning of 2024, 24,360 families have chosen a baby package at birth. The leaders in choosing a baby package were the city of Kyiv - 1963, Dnipropetrovs'k region - 2291, Zakarpattia region - 1504, and Vinnytsia region - 1424

According to the Ministry of Social Policy, 687 families chose the package in Volyn, 289 in Donetsk region, 1264 in Zhytomyr region, 483 in Zaporizhzhia region, 777 in Ivano-Frankivsk region, 1153 in Kyiv region, 860 in Kirovohrad region, and 1356 in Lviv region, Mykolaiv - 822, Odesa - 1258, Poltava - 1328, Rivne - 521, Sumy - 785, Ternopil - 514, Kharkiv - 1512, Kherson - 93, Khmelnytsky - 894, Cherkasy - 949, Chernivtsi - 907, Chernihiv - 617.

Addendum

In 2024, Ukraine updated the contents of this box. The updated Baby Box includes products that are in demand, such as reusable moisture-resistant diapers and warm clothes. We also increased the size of the blanket and reduced the number of small clothes that babies quickly outgrow.

In addition, we added the book "From Birth to One Year," which was developed and printed by the Ministry's partners, UNICEF. This is a practical guide for all parents of newborns, which contains the best of international experience and advice from Ukrainian experts.

You can receive a Baby Box at the maternity hospital after the birth of your child. If the baby box is not available at that time, you can apply for it within 30 calendar days from the date of birth: to the social welfare authorities or to the Center for the Provision of Administrative Services at your place of residence or stay. The application must also be accompanied by a copy of the child's birth certificate.
