More than 100 thousand Ukrainians received winter aid from UNICEF: who and how much

UNICEF and the Ministry of Reintegration have paid UAH 21,800 each to more than 103,000 Ukrainians in the frontline regions. The assistance was provided to families with children living within a 30-kilometer zone of the contact line.
More than 103 thousand Ukrainians living in the frontline regions have received winterization assistance of UAH 21,800, the Ministry of Reintegrationreported, according to UNN.
The agency said that payments are currently being made under the joint project of the Ministry of Reintegration and UNICEF to support families with children in the frontline territories of Ukraine.
As of now, 103,358 people, including 44,024 children, have already received financial assistance in the amount of UAH 21,800, and with it the confidence that they will spend this winter warm
Financial support to meet needs in the autumn and winter is provided to families with children living within a 30-kilometer zone from the contact line in Dnipropetrovska, Donetska, Kharkivska, Sumska, Zaporizka and Khersonska oblasts.
Recently, Chernihiv region was added to this list.

UNICEF has allocated more than UAH 260 million for this project.
All in all, the program will provide support for winterization in 2024/2025 to up to 60,000 residents of the frontline areas.
