Scammers create fake exchanges to extort money under the guise of profit. The Ministry of Justice has outlined the signs of these scams and urged citizens to verify the licenses of intermediaries.
Scammers are mass-producing fake crypto exchanges and brokerage services with professional designs to lure money under the guise of "guaranteed profits." The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has identified the main signs of investment scams and explained how to recognize fake platforms and protect your savings, UNN reports.

Scammers create fake platforms that look like real crypto exchanges, brokerage services, or investment funds.
They may feature:
- professional design;
- a personal account dashboard;
- profit charts;
- online support;
- a "manager" who oversees the investments.
But in reality, no investments are actually taking place.
Signs that should alert you:
- promises of "guaranteed" profits of 1–3% daily;
- lack of licenses or information about the company;
- requests to transfer money to a private individual's bank card;
- insistence on investing "right now";
- offers to recruit other people;
- demands to pay a "tax," "commission," or "verification fee" to withdraw funds;
- requests to install remote access software.
