According to the channel, local residents heard at least eight explosions. After that, a glow appeared over the scene, and later detonation began.
According to preliminary data, the fire either broke out in the area of the 475th Electronic Warfare Center position on Cape Fiolent, or near the Kaya-Bash heights near Balaklava, where, it is claimed, Russian air defense positions are located.
As "Crimean Wind" notes, within about 15 minutes the smoke plume stretched for 1-2 kilometers. Also, according to eyewitness reports, a Russian "Pantsir" anti-aircraft missile and gun system was operating from this area.
