In the Kharkiv region, a 17-year-old resident of Balakliia is suspected of transmitting data to a representative of the Russian Federation regarding the locations of Ukrainian servicemen, as well as the deployment of personnel and equipment of the Defense Forces. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, according to UNN.

According to the investigation, in early April 2024, the teenager established contact via Telegram with a representative of the Russian Federation who was conducting reconnaissance activities

From the handler, he received coordinates of the alleged possible locations of Ukrainian military personnel, after which he conducted reconnaissance and recorded the deployment sites of Defense Forces personnel and equipment.

He transmitted the collected data in the form of text messages, photos, and videos. For the completed tasks, he received 645 hryvnias — less than 15 US dollars.

Law enforcement officers detained him in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, he has been notified of suspicion of high treason committed under martial law. At the prosecutor's request, the court selected a preventive measure in the form of detention.
